Taste of Queensland Business Mission: Expression of interest
Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from Queensland food and agribusiness businesses to participate in the Taste of Queensland Business Mission to Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. A highlight of this mission is the opportunity to attend World Expo 2025 Osaka (Expo 2025), along with the chance to showcase your products in up to three key markets—Japan, Korea and Taiwan—subject to sufficient interest.
Queensland is a gold partner of the Australia Pavilion at World Expo 2025 Osaka. Running from April to October, there are over 150 nations participating with 28 million visitors anticipated. The Expo 2025 theme is Designing Future Society for our Lives and there are eight theme weeks throughout the six months of Expo 2025. This business mission is timed to coincide with the Necessities of Life: Food, Clothing and Shelter theme week (5-16 June 2025) and includes activities in Tokyo before moving to Osaka and visiting Expo 2025.
Why participate
Participation in the Taste of Queensland Business Mission to Taiwan, Japan and South Korea presents a remarkable opportunity to engage with industry leaders, potential clients and other businesses from across the globe, and better understand three sophisticated Asian markets.
The Queensland Government is working to progress Queensland towards net zero by reducing emissions in a sustainable and practicable manner.
TIQ is excited to offer a targeted program focused on carbon emission reduction activities in Japan, pending sufficient interest. Japan is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050 using initiatives such as the J-Credit Scheme which certifies GHG emission reductions or absorption through various projects.
This targeted program is intended to help Queensland business and researchers identify potential collaboration opportunities with Japanese universities, research institutions, and corporate leaders on delivering practicable sustainability-focused projects.
