Why apply?

The Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards are among the most anticipated annual business awards in the state. They recognise businesses across several major export industries as well as emerging sectors. The awards program is designed to showcase and promote businesses of all sizes from Cairns to Coolangatta and beyond, all over Queensland.

They are also part of a broader national awards program, organised by Austrade. The Australian Export Awards has credible, worldwide recognition of quality exporters around the globe.

Benefits

Our panel of judges are among the state’s most respected industry leaders and experts in their fields. Recognition from this diverse group elevates the credibility of the awards and warrants the high-level attention received from media and government.

Winning a Premier of Queensland’s Export Award, in one of the 13 national categories, also means your company becomes a finalist in the Australian Export Awards.

Trade and Investment Queensland partners with major media organisations to highlight and promote all finalists. During 2021, our media partnerships reached an audience of more than 1.3 million people across Australia.

Applying brings your business to the attention of influential people in your industry or local business networks.

The awards program provides ample opportunity for businesses to network, including with government representatives. We host several functions throughout the program as well as our main gala event:

  • Entrant masterclasses
  • Governor’s Tea – for all finalists
  • Queensland finalist/ stakeholder engagement event
  • Awards gala
  • Winners’ luncheon
  • Other opportunities with Trade and Investment Queensland pre and post awards

Being recognised as among the best is great acknowledgement of the hard work that your employees and partners contribute to the business’ success. Participating is a great way to recognise their efforts and the gala event is the perfect way to celebrate.

Go up against some of your main competitors and see where you stand. The awards have 15 categories across several industries, giving applicants the chance to go up against similar businesses.
